Ady's Big Army
In 2015, when the Schuberts launched Ady’s Army with the mission to “serve God by serving special needs families,” they anticipated that their core mission would remain constant, while the specific focus might evolve. This happened in 2018 when their non-speaking daughter, Ady began to communicate for the first time. A once underestimated girl, began to communicate and her expressions unveiled a longing for purpose and community. This prompted the Schuberts to explore options beyond their local resources in Alabama, leading them to discover Brookwood in Georgetown (BiG) in Georgetown Texas. Captivated by BiG’s Model and mission to change the way the world views adults with disabilities, Adys Army transitioned to Adys BiG Army on February 14th, 2023 when they created a satellite campus in Birmingham Al.
