Ady’s Barracks – Sylas (08/20/2021 - 04/15/2021)

Sylas is perfectly described as our carefree and wild child. He’s extremely intelligent and strong willed 4 year old with a laugh that can make anyone’s heart melt. As a baby, Sylas met every milestone with flying colors, speaking his first words at only 6 months and walking at 10 months! Although, once we turned 15 months we began to see his regression. What was once words became replaced with silence, precious eye contact was replaced with blank stares, and... Read more

Ady’s Barracks – Grayson (06/06/2021 - 04/15/2021)

Grayson is an extremely charming five-year-old boy with an infectious smile and laugh. If one were to describe him as energetic it would be a true understatement. His high energy and excitement for life leaves those close to him exhausted and in need of more caffeine. When Grayson was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder at 3 years old, we found ourselves in shock though not surprised. We had been living with ASD and the unbearably difficult daily struggles that go... Read more

Ady’s Barracks – Colton (09/24/2020 - 04/15/2021)

After trying unsuccessfully for a year to become pregnant, I was sent to the fertility doctor to see what our options were. Much to our surprise, I was pregnant. I had a good pregnancy and was overjoyed when we found out we were having a boy. Colton was born on April 15, 2009. He was healthy and perfect! He was a busy baby and was always climbing and getting into things. At his 18 month well child appointment, we began... Read more

Ady’s Barracks – Rhys (10/22/2019 - 12/21/2019)

Meet Rhys CJ Weaver. He is one of the sweetest 4 year old’s that you will ever meet. He loves to laugh and play. Rhys was diagnosed with ASD at the age of two when we realized that he wasn’t meeting his language milestones and we pushed for further testing. Rhys is our miracle baby. After 13 year of infertility we decided to give IVF one try. If that didn’t work we were going to look at options for adoption.... Read more

Ady’s Barracks – Gabe (09/10/2019 - 08/28/2019)

Meet Gabe Aaron Weeks. He is a firecracker who will be 3 in October and has kept us on our toes since the day he arrived. He never meets a stranger and you will never find him without a huge grin (with dimples) on his face. Before Gabe was born my husband and I were already parents to 2 incredibly sweet and easy going little girls. We were thrilled to learn we were having a baby boy and felt like... Read more

Ady’s Barracks – Isla (03/12/2019 - 06/30/2019)

Meet Isla Grace Craft. She is 3 years old with a beautiful smile that melts your heart. Let me tell you how her story began. Lee and I joined Grace Life Baptist Church in Bessemer, AL in March of 2014 . We wanted to get in to missions so our Pastor suggested something domestic. We ended up in Springdale, Arkansas the following May to witness and share the Gospel with a large community of Marshallese people. Our Senior Pastor, along... Read more

Ady’s Paws – Ace (02/10/2019 - 05/15/2019)

Ace entered the world 3 days after his expected arrival date, weighing in at 6lbs 5oz. Ace was hitting all major milestones earlier than expected. He walked at 10 1/2 months; knew his letters and the sounds they made by 16 months, before he could really form full sentences. He read fluently before he turned 3 years old and his math skills were beyond anything we ever imagined possible. So as parents with a 3 year old who knew multiplication... Read more

This campaign is for our inaugural training session with Coach Mary, where she will spend two weeks in Birmingham to provide training, coaching, and encouragement to our special-needs community. This is the branch the Schuberts are... Read more

Ady’s Paws-Samantha (06/21/2018 - 11/24/2018)

Samantha was born only one week early but she was a tiny baby at just 4lbs 10.5oz.  She spent one week in the NICU and then got to come home.  Even tho she was tiny, she was hitting all of her milestones for quite some time. At one point though Samantha began to regress.  She stopped babbling and it was hard to get her to stay focused.   She began to have strange behaviors like barking and crawling around people when...
